You may remember hearing about some pretty amazing findings a couple of years ago where “seventeen lost pyramids [were] among the buildings identified in a new satellite survey of Egypt. More than 1,000 tombs and 3,000 ancient settlements were also revealed by looking at infra-red images which show up underground buildings. Archeologist Sarah Parcak had it easier. With satellite imagery, she uncovered 17 pyramids without lifting a finger. “All of a sudden, these features jump out at you,” said Dr. Parcak. “It’s almost like you’ve got Superman or Superwoman X-ray vision and you’re able to look at the world a little differently.”
