Loving the Kool-Aid ... why don't you have some!

Just wanted to share a note from realtor Mike Burge from Naples, FL. What Mike shared with me is all the more amazing given that he's so new to the business ...he hasn't even had his real estate license for a year. Think about that ... while so many of you were toiling through the last few years trying to navigate the rocky waters, Mike just dropped into our arena about seven months ago. He made his very first sale just before our Anaheim SuperConference last November, but he's already made a splash! In just over three months, Mike has NET about $71k in GCI. Wow! Here it is from Mike himself: "I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you and Craig for all you have done for me in such a short time period.  As you know, I got my real estate license in the summer of 2012 and did some rentals but had no real idea of how to dive in. I finally got my first sale in October of 2012 and made the wise decision to use my first commission check to fly to Los Angeles in November and attend the Super Conference. I signed up for coaching and started working on my business right away using the techniques that you taught. Since my November launch, I have closed just over 1.1 million dollars of sales resulting in over $44,000 in GCI and I have $902,000 in sales under contract due to close in the next 45 days for almost $27,000 more in GCI. I would never have thought that making this quantum shift in my approach to sales would have resulted in such a dramatic jump in my income. The only down fall with the program is learning to handle all of the leads and clients I have pouring in on a weekly basis! Thank you again for all that you do to help me on my way … I am loving the Kool-Aid!" Where Mike’s foresight to jump in so early in his career may be unique, his success certainly isn’t, and that’s because the system I teach is so comprehensive. Many agents struggle with the problem of not enough leads, and Mike’s stated new problem of too many leads sounds like a joke, but I know from experience that this too is a real problem. I remember early in my career, before I built the systems that made me a millionaire, I really struggled with how busy I was. It was quite common for me to win 10-15 listings on a weekend and I remember vividly walking out of one seller’s house all pale and shaky with how exhausted I was and actually throwing up in the snow bank. My success was literally making me sick! It’s from my own experience that I knew my system had to be about far more than lead generation. There’s no point in blowing your brains out on lead generation if you can’t convert those leads to appointment. Similarly, it’s a waste of your time going on presentations if you don’t have a reliable way of winning them. Here’s an important point: drinking the Kool-aid means just that …following the system to the letter. The agents who succeed like Mike are ones who plug and play without trying to reinvent the process. I was able to multiply my own business because my systems enabled me to clone myself. The agents who worked for me copied everything that I did and thus were able to get the same results. That’s why you’ll often hear me say that if you can copy, you can succeed.
