A Real Estate Marketing Atlantis

“‘Axel,’ replied the Professor with perfect coolness, ‘our situation is almost desperate; but there are some chances of deliverance, and it is these that I am considering. If at every instant we may perish, so at every instant we may be saved. Let us then be prepared to seize upon the smallest advantage.’” – Jules Verne, Journey to the Center of the Earth

I recently made reference to all the natural disasters that have taken such a cataclysmic toll in recent years: earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and the like. Events of this proportion rivet our attention, and while our first reaction should be to find a way to help those in need, surely an afterthought should be a reflection on our own personal timelines and some concrete plans to make the very best of whatever time we have. Are you making the very best of your life? Are your relationships with the ones you love solid and do you regularly communicate to the people who matter to you that they do matter to you? Is your career rewarding and fulfilling and does it feed you both financially and intellectually while clearing adequate spaces of time to indulge the things that are most important to you? Are you having fun? Are you making a difference? Days after Japan’s devastating tsunami in 2011, it was revealed that the same kind of tsunami which claimed miles of land and tens of thousands of lives in Japan may have been what caused the fabled city of Atlantis to disappear off the map 2,600 years ago. This legendary city, believed for years to be mythical, has not only fired countless imaginations, but also spawned over 25,000 books and scores of movies from Jules Vernes Journey to the Center of the Earth to Disney’s Atlantis to Sponge Bob’s Atlantis SquarePantis (and even an Indiana Jones video game.) Not only did Plato describe it as rich in precious metals, but also highly sophisticated in terms of technology, complete with hot and cold fountains and fantastic canals. However, despite the fact that Atlantis was a formidable naval power that conquered many parts of Western Europe and Africa, it went under the ocean waves in one day and one night, as if it never existed at all. Kind of like the real estate market in 2007. A couple of years ago it was revealed that “a U.S.-led research team may have finally located the lost city of Atlantis in mud flats in southern Spain. To solve the age-old mystery, the team analyzed satellite imagery of a suspected submerged city just north of Cadiz, Spain. There, buried in the vast marshlands of the Dona Ana Park, they believe that they pinpointed the ancient, multi-ringed dominion known as Atlantis. The team of archaeologists and geologists in 2009 and 2010 used a combination of deep-ground radar, digital mapping and underwater technology to survey the site.” [Reuters – Mar 14/11]

Dare to believe in a financially rewarding real estate career

Here’s my point. Debate about whether Atlantis truly existed has lasted for thousands of years. Some believed in its possibility enough to search for it while most relegated it to the realm of myth. I would argue that many of you are doing the same thing with your real estate careers. The fact that you’re part of my system puts you in the elevated realm of agents who have dared to believe that the possibility of a financially rewarding real estate career that isn’t hazardous to your health and social well-being is not a myth, but how many of you are going to take the next step of digging into this belief and proving its existence by embracing every single element and living high on the results? The crazy thing is that taking this next step is ridiculously easy for you. You don’t need expensive satellite imagery, deep-ground radar, digital mapping or underwater technology. All you need is a ticket, and you can purchase one for far less than it costs you to get your morning cup of coffee. You know what they say about the lottery; you can’t win if you don’t have a ticket. The significant difference here is that your odds of winning the lottery are pretty well astronomical – about 1 in 14 million.

What are your odds of changing your life?

What are your odds of changing your life by coming to my SuperConference? For many real estate training courses, the odds aren’t that great, but if you take a look at the past performance of actual agents like yourself who have been through this incredible 3-day training, the answer is 1 in 1. What does that mean? It means that 100% — i.e. every single agent – who attends my SuperConference with the willingness to embrace change, and the discipline to actually implement what they’ve learned, goes on to thrive in their careers and, as a result, in their lives. Now if you’re the kind of agent who has a closed mind, or who is bent on finding ways for things not to work, you should probably stay away. I didn’t say you couldn’t be skeptical. It’s definitely okay to be skeptical, as long as you have an open mind to go along with it. In other words, be skeptical, but don’t make your decision before you get there. When I do challenge your thinking with the new ideas I’ll reveal to you, make sure your mind is open enough to make an objective decision. Look around at all the other agents who are living your dream – there will be plenty of them at the SuperConference. Talk to them. Ask them questions. Demand that they show you proof of their success. If this is what it will take for you to overcome your skepticism, and shake off the bad habits that have been holding you back, then do exactly that. Challenge us to prove to you that this will make a difference in your life. You’ll have no trouble finding the right answer, and once you do, I can promise you that your future will be very bright indeed. I want you to come to this SuperConference with a one way ticket – that is, the determination that you will never go back to the “way it was”.

It’s okay to be skeptical
